Responsibilities:

  • Designing and maintaining WiFi networks, with a preference for service provider experience.
  • Utilizing central configuration management and orchestration tools like Ansible for network automation.
  • Writing templates using Jinja/YAML/Python for configuration management.
  • Managing wired and wireless network equipment.
  • Monitoring and analyzing network performance at scale.
  • Designing and operating MPLS and optical transport networks.
  • Assisting with network, software, or hardware issues as they arise.
  • Supporting virtualization environments and servers.
  • Deploying and managing physical and virtual network devices.
  • Collaborating with sales engineering on bill of materials creation.
  • Troubleshooting wired and wireless network deployments.
  • Providing guidance and QA oversight to project contractors.
  • Assisting with customers' connectivity issues and providing direct support.
  • Monitoring network performance and responding to alarms.
  • Updating documentation as network changes are made.
  • Interacting with end-users to identify concerns and solutions.
  • Participating in on-call rotation as needed.


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience with a minimum AS degree or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing Ekahau or equivalent software/certifications.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep knowledge of IP protocols, routing protocols, firewalls, and routers.
  • Experience with server management and virtualization technologies.
  • Proficiency in version control systems like Git.
  • Ability to automate network provisioning, configuration, and management tasks.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging solutions for network infrastructure.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to neighboring cities as required.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with network equipment from vendors like Ruckus, Brocade, Cisco, Juniper, IP Infusion, and Mikrotik.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools, SNMP tools, DNS, Zendesk, Slack, Jira, and BGP/OSPF routing protocols.


Location & Working Pattern:

  • Remote
  • Weekends and evenings as needed, on-call rotation.


Salary:

  • $90,000 Based on qualifications and includes full benefits, vacation, insurances, and more.
