The esteemed organisation is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a specialist division delivering live video networking and remote production solutions for premium broadcasters and sports rights holders worldwide. The role will take ownership of high-availability broadcast network infrastructure, supporting fibre, IP, cloud, and satellite environments while driving the transition towards modern NetOps and automation.

Responsibilities:
- Design, operate, and optimise distributed routing and switching infrastructure, with advanced application of OSPF and BGP in a live broadcast environment
- Take primary ownership of the DTM (Dynamic Synchronous Transfer Mode) network, ensuring it meets the rigorous demands of 24/7 live transmission
- Manage and refine a global telemetry network, maintaining consistent data flow and visibility across international transmission points
- Lead the transition from manual workflows to automated NetOps processes using Ansible, Python, and shell scripting — reducing intervention and improving operational resilience
- Build and refine internal monitoring and observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Netbox) for use by TOC and Event Engineering teams
- Serve as the Level 3 escalation point for complex network issues; mentor technology teams and lead technical projects from concept through to live deployment
Skills/Must have:
- EVPN/VXLAN
- Advanced TCP/IP stack knowledge: OSPF, BGP, Multicast routing
- Methodology/Protocols: Proven automation experience with Python and Ansible; IPAM/DCIM management via Netbox; practical observability with Grafana, ELK, and InfluxDB
Nice to haves:
- Knowledge of SMPTE ST 2110 broadcast networking and associated timing/synchronisation requirements
- Direct hands-on experience with DTM or ATM transport technologies
- Familiarity with real-time transport protocols (RTP, UDP, SRT, Zixi) and video encoding standards (AVC, HEVC, JPEG-XS)
- Version control experience using GitHub for managing automation scripts and configuration
- Project management tool experience (ClickUp, Monday.com, or Jira)
