The company is looking for a Senior Planner to join its Dublin team, taking ownership of planning delivery across major construction programs. The role involves leading tenders, contract administration, and stakeholder engagement, while working across multiple projects with autonomy and providing technical planning expertise to clients and delivery teams. The position also offers the opportunity to mentor and support the development of junior planners.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the full range of project planning management processes, leading day-to-day delivery of projects and taking ownership of large projects with minimal supervision
  • Supports preparation and evaluation of tenders, contractor/consultant selection and contract documentation, with focus on contract, planning, cost and overall project deliverability
  • Supports planning and value management including workshop facilitation, and contract administration for relevant provisions, monthly reporting, and chairing project meetings
  • Delivers accurate, timely, high-quality outputs combining logic, contract milestones, critical path analysis, and drift/opportunity evaluation and reporting
  • Operates in line with company policies and procedures (particularly Health & Safety and Quality Assurance) and client corporate governance requirements
  • Communicates effectively with all stakeholders on matters impacting projects, and diligently flags potential opportunities
  • Supports development and management of project programs, securing stakeholder buy-in
  • Provides mentoring and support to junior team members
  • Reviews programs and advises on contractual entitlements in the assessment of Claims/Compensation Events and Disputes


Skills/Must Have:

  • Industry-specific degree essential
  • 5+ years' industry experience
  • Advanced working knowledge of planning software: P6, MSP, ASTA PP
  • MAPM/MRICS or equivalent qualification/experience, or Associate status with APM/RICS
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry technical planning matters across multiple sectors
  • Experience and strong understanding of industry-standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC, FIDIC)
  • Strong technical project planning skills: planning management/development, resource, risk, opportunities/issues, change control, stakeholder management, contract and communications
  • experience planning and leading delivery of multiple projects and major programs
  • Understanding of HS&E legislation
  • Ability to deliver results in a client-facing role, coordinating a wide range of stakeholders
