The successful candidate will lead a dedicated Security team as the Senior Security Engineer (Team Leader), combining hands-on platform engineering with technical and people leadership. They will take ownership of platform maintenance, engineering standards, and architectural decisions across a Microsoft Defender-focused security environment, while acting as the primary escalation point for complex and high-priority incidents. 

In addition, they will manage and mentor a team of Security Engineers and Analysts, providing technical direction, operational oversight, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality security services within a regulated environment. Responsibilities:

• Analysis and Escalation
• Rule Tuning, Log Ingestion
• Maintenance of Platform Architecture
• Detection Engineering

Skills/Must have:

• Strong Defender Suite knowledge: Defender XDR, Endpoint, Identity 
• Sentinel One (SOAR Automation, Playbook operations, Logic Apps)
• Purview (DLP)
• Vulnerability Management Tooling i.e. Qualys

Salary:

• £82,500 Basic Salary Per Annum
