As part of the expanding infrastructure team, you'll lead technical due diligence on powered land, build-to-suit developments, and strategic infrastructure opportunities, assessing engineering feasibility and technical risk before investment decisions are made. You'll also help establish the standards, governance, and technical processes that will support the organisation's continued expansion across Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical due diligence across powered land, build to suit and strategic AI infrastructure opportunities throughout EMEA
  • Manage engineering, environmental, geotechnical, utility and permitting consultants from scope through to final recommendations
  • Assess technical risks relating to utilities, constructability, environmental constraints, fiber connectivity, permitting and development feasibility
  • Prepare technical reports and present recommendations, risks and mitigation strategies to senior leadership and investment teams
  • Partner with Site Selection, Engineering, Energy, Legal and Project Development teams throughout the acquisition lifecycle
  • Develop due diligence standards, consultant networks, templates and scalable technical review processes across EMEA


Skills/Must Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical due diligence, infrastructure development, site development, civil engineering or mission critical projects
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical investigations, environmental assessments, utilities, permitting, zoning and infrastructure development
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultants on complex infrastructure projects
  • Ability to interpret technical studies and translate engineering findings into commercial recommendations and investment decisions
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and executive presentation skills
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Real Estate Development or a related discipline, or equivalent experience


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience supporting hyperscale, AI infrastructure or mission critical data center developments
  • Professional Engineer (PE), PMP or equivalent certification
  • Knowledge of utility infrastructure, transmission networks and European power markets
  • Experience supporting large scale infrastructure acquisition or development programmes
