The organization is currently on the lookout for a Support Desk Engineer to join its EMEA technical support team in Rotterdam. The ideal candidate will trade field instability for office-based consistency, working a genuine 9-5 role with no on-call, after-hours, or last-minute deployment, while keeping their technical skills sharp across a premium satellite product range. The role comes with structured product training from day one, backed by an experienced EMEA team, offering a clear pathway to develop deep expertise in marine VSAT, TVRO, and L-band systems, with any occasional travel kept to no more than 5% of working hours and fully covered.

Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality technical support to customers via telephone and email, covering installation, fault finding, and repair of maritime satellite communication products
- Monitoring open cases and driving prompt resolution, with focus on priority escalations and keeping customers updated throughout
- Performing structured fault analysis and maintaining accurate, real-time case records in the corporate case management system
- Developing and maintaining knowledge across the full marine VSAT, TVRO, and L-band product range
- Providing technical assistance in both pre and post-sales environments and supporting co-workers with technical queries
- Reviewing and contributing to technical documentation and knowledge base content
- Occasional field service activities including onsite interventions and dealer development visits — no more than 10% of working time
Skills/Must Have:
- Background in SATCOM, marine electronics, satellite communications, or navigation systems
- Electromechanical or RF education or equivalent hands-on experience
- Practical knowledge of test equipment including spectrum analysers, multimeters, and oscilloscopes
- Excellent verbal and written English
- Full driving licence
