The organization is currently on the lookout for a System Architect to join a specialist satellite communications manufacturer's engineering team near Lake Constance, Germany, as they scale up a new LEO satellite programme. The ideal candidate will design and prototype system-level concepts for next-generation communication systems, working across SoCs, FPGAs, and peripherals to bring proof-of-concept systems to life.

Responsibilities:

• Design and prototype system-level concepts for communication systems
• Configure and integrate SoCs, FPGAs, and peripherals into complete proof-of-concept systems
• Develop, test, and optimise end-to-end PoCs with in-house and partner solutions
• Collaborate with R&D teams and partners on system integration and co-design
• Document architectures, integration steps, and reusable reference designs

Skills/Must Have:

• Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Embedded Systems Engineering, or comparable experience
• 5+ years in product and system development for communication devices (satellite, 5G, Wi-Fi modems)
• Skilled in C/C++, Python, Linux/RTOS, and HW/SW co-design for PoCs and prototypes
• Experience with SoCs, FPGAs, and integration of third-party software, SDKs, and communication protocols (Ethernet, 5G/6G)
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on collaboration skills in fast-paced R&D environments
• Very good English Language skills
