An established European digital infrastructure platform is seeking a Tax Manager to lead and develop its international tax function across multiple European jurisdictions.
Operating a rapidly expanding network of mission-critical infrastructure assets across Europe, the business is experiencing significant growth through investment, acquisitions, and international expansion. With operations spanning multiple countries, the organisation requires a tax professional capable of providing both strategic direction and hands-on oversight of group-wide tax compliance, governance, and optimisation initiatives.
Reporting into senior finance leadership, this position will play a key role in ensuring the organisation maintains a robust and scalable tax framework as the business continues to grow. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to the business, supporting strategic decision-making, mitigating tax risk, and driving consistency across all European operations. The role offers exposure to complex international tax matters within a fast-paced, multinational environment.

Responsibilities:
- Define, implement, and lead the Group's tax strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance across multiple European jurisdictions.
- Coordinate tax calendars, filings, reporting obligations, and compliance activities across the Group.
- Review and validate tax returns, reporting submissions, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor changes in European and international tax legislation and assess business impact.
- Lead tax audits, inspections, and enquiries, acting as the primary contact for tax authorities.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and specialist consultants.
- Provide technical tax guidance to support strategic, operational, and investment decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
- Develop and standardise tax processes, controls, and policies across all business units.
- Support month-end and year-end financial reporting, including tax provisions and reconciliations.
- Ensure consistent application of tax policies and best practices across all operating entities.
- Contribute to risk management initiatives and strengthen the Group's tax governance framework.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of European and international corporate tax regulations.
- Experience managing both direct and indirect taxation matters.
- Ability to interpret and apply tax legislation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Experience coordinating external advisors and managing complex tax projects.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools
- Strong financial accounting and analytical capabilities.
- Fluent Spanish and English B2 minimum.
- Additional European languages would be beneficial.
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in international tax, corporate tax, or a similar tax management position.
- Experience within multinational organisations operating across multiple European countries is highly desirable.
- Background in infrastructure, technology, telecommunications, digital services, or other international environments would be advantageous.
