Ready to take the next step in your career?

Join a global, technology-driven quantitative trading firm built by computer scientists, mathematicians, and engineers who leverage advanced algorithms to navigate financial markets. The organization researches and deploys sophisticated algorithmic strategies across multiple asset classes, maintaining one of the world's most advanced computing environments.

The organization is expanding its team and is looking to appoint a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer. The successful candidate will focus on the architectural design, strategy, and forward-looking evolution of high-performance trading network environments. Core duties include designing next-generation network architectures, driving infrastructure innovation, and engineering low-latency systems designed to meet high-frequency financial trading demands.

Ready to make a move? Get in touch and apply today!

Responsibilities:

  • Owns network architecture and design across colocation facilities and market connectivity, with a strong emphasis on latency optimisation
  • Evaluates emerging networking products and technologies, testing them in the lab, understanding where they fit, and deciding how (and whether) they should be deployed in production
  • Works closely with senior systems, network and hardware specialists who bring new technologies to the table
  • Acts as an escalation point for the most complex production and network problems
  • Focuses on infrastructure bottlenecks and performance improvement rather than business-as-usual operations

Skills/Must Have:

  • A very senior network/infrastructure engineer with a genuine understanding of electronic trading and market microstructure
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of low-latency networking: switch platforms, timing and synchronisation technologies (White Rabbit, PTP), and latency measurement/optimisation techniques
  • Someone who thinks architecturally, comfortable designing, experimenting in the lab and evaluating new technology, rather than simply deploying and operating existing designs
  • Practical Python skills (roughly intermediate level): able to read and adapt existing scripts and notebooks, and build basic tests and tooling. This is not a software development role.

Benefits:

  • Shape the future of a high performance trading network
Work at the edge of what is technically possible in latency sensitive environments
Have the autonomy to explore, test and influence real deployment decisions

Salary:

  • $750K (flexible)
