Responsibilities:

• Lead and support technical design for mining and remote-site network projects.
• Design microwave PtP/PtMP, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN, satellite and hybrid connectivity solutions.
• Produce high-level and detailed designs covering RF paths, frequency planning, capacity, resilience, power and network integration.
• Translate customer requirements and site constraints into technically viable and commercially supportable solutions.
• Support project scoping, BOM creation, design assumptions, risk assessments and technical proposals.
• Finalise network designs following site surveys, vendor requirements and construction feedback.
• Produce and maintain HLDs, LLDs, network drawings, IP plans, RF link budgets and as-built documentation.
• Ensure designs follow consistent engineering, testing and handover standards.
• Work with the Core Network team to integrate customer solutions into the wider service-provider network.
• Contribute to routing, switching, MPLS/VPN, QoS, peering, aggregation and network hand-off design and configuration.
• Ensure customer-edge solutions align with core network standards, capacity requirements and operational support models.
• Plan and conduct remote-site surveys and RF assessments for microwave and Wi-Fi environments.
• Provide RF engineering expertise throughout design, installation and commissioning.
• Develop coverage and backhaul designs appropriate to site conditions and Australian spectrum requirements.
• Review existing mining and remote-site networks and recommend upgrade, remediation or integration strategies.
• Support implementation across LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, microwave and industrial/OT-adjacent environments.
• Work with customers, vendors, architects and internal engineering teams through design, testing and cutover.
• Support on-site commissioning and acceptance testing for major mining and remote infrastructure projects.
• Configure, install and validate wireless, routing and switching infrastructure.
• Travel to remote Western Australian sites when required for surveys, deployment and commissioning activities.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex network and wireless issues.
• Troubleshoot incidents across RF, routing and switching environments and coordinate vendor escalation where required.
• Mentor other technical staff and promote consistent engineering and delivery practices.
• Evaluate emerging wireless and networking technologies that could enhance future customer solutions.

Skills/Must Have:

• Strong routing and switching background, ideally supported by Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent industry certification.
• Practical RF engineering knowledge covering microwave PtP/PtMP and Wi-Fi design.
• Understanding of Australian spectrum and regulatory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, multicast and QoS.
• Experience configuring and designing enterprise or carrier-grade routing and switching environments.
• Experience delivering networks within mining, resources, remote industrial or complex multi-site environments.
• Ability to produce high-quality HLDs, LLDs, network diagrams and RF link budgets.
• Comfortable working across presales engineering, detailed design, implementation and field commissioning.
• Strong troubleshooting capability across wireless and IP networking technologies.
• Willingness to travel to remote Western Australian sites when required.
