Looking for a role with plenty of growth opportunities?

Join a privately owned telecoms construction contractor with ten years of industry experience and a strong track record of growth over the past five years. Founded by an owner with 30 years of telecoms experience, the business has grown from splicing, turn-ups, and network builds into a specialist HDD and directional boring operation. The company self-performs FTTH, underground conduit, and fibre work for a long-standing customer base and is now expanding into a new market.

The company is looking for a Project Manager / Construction Manager to lead its expansion into the new market. This is a hands-on role with ownership across live projects, including directing boring and ploughing operations, managing crews and paperwork, tracking daily spend, and acting as the main point of contact for customers. With a major directional boring and ploughing programme in the pipeline, the role offers the opportunity to grow alongside the market within a small, privately owned, and people-focused business where leadership remains closely involved in the work.

Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity and apply today!

Responsibilities:

  • Own day-to-day delivery of FTTH and underground conduit/fiber builds across the Milwaukee market, from mobilisation to close-out.
  • Lead crews and subcontractors on site 5-6 days a week, directing HDD/directional boring, standard boring, ploughing and dozer operations.
  • Track daily expenditures and production, keeping labour, equipment, fuel and material costs within budget.
  • Complete all project paperwork, daily reports, production logs, redlines, as-builts and close-out packages.
  • Coordinate locates, permits, ROW, restoration and utility interfaces to keep crews productive and compliant.
  • Enforce safety and quality standards on every job site, ensuring work meets customer specification.
  • Act as day-to-day customer contact and report progress, costs and risks directly to ownership.

Skills/Must Have:

  • Construction industry background, with fiber or telecoms construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on field experience, someone who has been in the industry and can hit the ground running.
  • Exposure to HDD / directional boring, standard boring and ploughing operations.

Benefits:

  • Company truck, fuel and mileage covered.
  • Laptop and iPad provided.
  • Fully paid health, dental and vision insurance for the employee
  • PTO
  • Bonus structure under review.
  • Small, privately owned business with direct access to ownership and genuine growth as the market expands.

Salary:
