This opportunity is for a Junior Network Engineer to join the UK Support team, supporting network operations and provisioning projects while working alongside experienced engineers. The role is well suited to someone with CCNA-level knowledge, strong communication skills, and a desire to build a solid foundation in network engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • First-line network support, picking up and resolving tickets across network and platform products
  • Network provisioning projects across infrastructure and platform services
  • Troubleshooting customer issues end-to-end, escalating to senior engineers when needed
  • Assisting with installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment
  • Documenting processes and systems as you learn
  • On-call rota once fully trained, 1 week in 2, with additional remuneration


Skills/Must Have:

  • Network graduate or junior engineer background, CCNA level or working towards it
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, VLANs, OSI model, routing protocols
  • Some exposure to firewalls and Linux on the command line
  • Hands-on experience with networking kit from any major vendor, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Arista, Palo Alto or similar
  • Strong soft skills, calm under pressure, clear communicator, good with customers
  • A can-do attitude and the drive to learn fast in a hands-on environment


Working Pattern:

  • Hybrid: 2 days in the office per week (Wednesday always one of them)
  • Standard hours: 09:00 – 17:30
  • On-call: 1 week in 2, paid additionally (£15,000/annum)
