We are looking for an exceptional Senior Network Engineer / Architect with deep, hands-on technical expertise in modern data center networking. This role is designed specifically for an elite engineer who constructs, automates, and debugs complex EVPN/VXLAN fabrics down to the packet level, rather than someone who simply applies standard vendor configurations. You will work on high-performance, Linux-based networking stacks and next-generation data center architectures, with a relentless focus on correctness, scalability, and operational excellence.
As a member of our senior engineering group, you will operate at the absolute forefront of the industry, designing the physical and logical architectures that power large-scale AI operators and next-gen cloud networks.
If you possess a vendor-agnostic mindset, treat network infrastructure as software, and want to influence the architectural direction of a disruptive automated operations platform, this is the definitive role for your career.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and evolve EVPN/VXLAN data center fabrics, managing L2/L3 topologies, symmetric/asymmetric IRB, multi-VRF, and multi-tenant architectures.
- Perform deep control plane and data plane troubleshooting, isolating complex issues across BGP EVPN, VXLAN tunnels, Linux kernel networking, and switching ASIC behaviors.
- Architect and validate high-scale data center network designs, ensuring maximum resiliency and predictable failover metrics.
- Configure and operate open networking platforms, leveraging deep hands-on expertise with EVPN/VXLAN configurations on Cumulus Linux.
- Manage Linux networking stack components, working extensively with iproute2, netlink, nftables/iptables, network bridges, and VRFs.
- Operate BGP at an expert vendor-agnostic level, driving routing policies, route-target structures, and scale considerations tailored for data centers.
- Collaborate with software engineering and automation teams to build highly reliable, repeatable, and deterministic network solutions.
Skills/Must have:
- Expert-level routing and switching knowledge: CCIE Routing & Switching and/or CCIE Data Center level depth (certification is entirely optional, but the technical skills are mandatory).
- Cumulus Linux Mastery: Proven experience configuring, designing, and operating EVPN/VXLAN data center fabrics utilizing Cumulus Linux in true production environments.
- Advanced Linux Kernel Networking: Excellent understanding of Linux networking stack behaviors, kernel internals, and packet flow pathways.
- Deep Diagnostic Capabilities: Ability to isolate complex, low-level network issues using diagnostic tools such as tcpdump, dropwatch, perf, and bpftool.
- Routing Stack Administration: Comprehensive experience working with FRR (Free Range Routing) or alternative open-source routing suites.
- Hardware Fundamentals: Solid understanding of modern data center hardware architectures and ASIC-based switching capabilities.
Nice to Have:
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience with network automation, orchestration tools, or programming frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or custom APIs).
- AI/GPU Networking Exposure: Prior experience managing networks tailored for high-throughput GPU computing or AI cluster infrastructures.
Benefits:
- Disruptive Engineering: Build automated network systems operating at massive scale for global enterprises.
- Flat Organization: Join a small, highly collaborative team of senior engineers and architects free of corporate bureaucracy.
- Architectural Freedom: Influence the direct product direction and core network automation engine.
- AI Footprint: Work directly on the underlying fabrics powering next-generation artificial intelligence environments.
Salary:
- Premium compensation bracket matching expert-level network architecture and open-source Linux networking capabilities.
