The role is responsible for managing outside plant construction programs, coordinating subcontractors, and supporting permitting and right-of-way activities to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day execution of OSP fiber construction projects across the Chicago metro and surrounding areas
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, schedules, and quality of work
  • Coordinate permitting, ROW acquisition, and utility locates with municipalities and local agencies
  • Track project budgets, forecasts, and change orders; report to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards including OSHA and company EHS requirements
  • Liaise between field crews, engineering, and the client
  • Manage project documentation including as-builts, redlines, and closeout packages
  • Identify and mitigate schedule and cost risks proactively


Skills/Must have:

  • 5+ years OSP/outside plant construction experience
  • Proven project management on fiber/telecom infrastructure builds;  FTTH, buried, aerial, conduit
  • Strong understanding of permitting, ROW, and local municipality processes in Illinois/Chicagoland
  • Experience managing subcontractors and self-perform crews
  • Budget ownership and cost tracking experience
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera
