Following today’s official announcement, Hamilton Barnes is pleased to share our new strategic partnership with ECOBLOX, a global innovator in AI compute infrastructure.

The partnership brings together ECOBLOX’s expertise in modular AI-ready datacenters with Hamilton Barnes’ global market knowledge, industry connections and specialist recruitment capabilities, creating new opportunities to support organisations delivering and scaling AI infrastructure projects around the world.

Why this partnership matters

The AI infrastructure market is moving at incredible speed. Organisations looking to build and scale AI environments are facing challenges across every stage of a project, from securing GPUs, power and land through to deploying infrastructure and finding the specialist expertise needed to operate it.

At Hamilton Barnes, we see this challenge from across the market.

Founded in 2014 as a specialist networking recruiter working across ISPs, datacenters and enterprise environments, we have spent more than a decade building relationships and market knowledge across critical digital infrastructure.

Over the past two and a half years, we have transitioned that experience into the AI infrastructure market, supporting organisations across the wider ecosystem, from neoclouds and early-stage AI labs to hyperscalers, colocation providers and end users of AI.

Today, our teams operate across the UK, EMEA, North America and APAC, giving us a global view of the organisations, projects and technical communities shaping the industry.

Our value extends beyond recruitment. Our consultants are deeply connected to the markets they operate in, giving us insight into the organisations building AI infrastructure, the opportunities developing across the industry and the specialist expertise required to deliver them.

How the partnership came together

The relationship between Hamilton Barnes and ECOBLOX developed through shared industry connections and conversations across the AI infrastructure market.

We had been following ECOBLOX’s growth as an NVIDIA Preferred Partner, including its recognition as NVIDIA’s Star Performer for the Middle East and Africa.

As ECOBLOX continued to build its international presence, we saw an opportunity to support that growth by combining its infrastructure expertise with our own market knowledge and connections across the global AI infrastructure ecosystem.

Tom Jones, Senior Data Centre & AI Infrastructure Consultant at Hamilton Barnes, and Ben Davies, Director of Global AI Infrastructure, worked closely with Donatas Varnas, Co-founder & COO of ECOBLOX, and the wider ECOBLOX team as the relationship developed.

Technical discussions, including a session with Mohammed Sabunchi, Senior Director of Data Centre Services at ECOBLOX, helped both teams explore where the businesses could work together most effectively.

Those conversations ultimately developed into a formal strategic partnership.

Two businesses, one shared opportunity

The partnership is centred around combining the strengths of both organisations.

Hamilton Barnes brings extensive market connections across the global AI infrastructure and datacenter ecosystem, alongside specialist recruitment expertise and a deep understanding of the technical talent required to deliver complex projects.

ECOBLOX brings its expertise in modular AI-ready datacenters and its established relationships across the AI infrastructure ecosystem, including its position as an NVIDIA Preferred Partner.

Together, the businesses can identify opportunities where ECOBLOX’s infrastructure capabilities can add value, while Hamilton Barnes can support the specialist talent requirements that come with new projects and international growth.

For us, this is about creating a more connected approach to supporting the organisations building the infrastructure behind the next generation of AI.

Why ECOBLOX?

ECOBLOX stood out as a natural partner because of its technical approach, international ambitions and strong position within the NVIDIA ecosystem.

Its modular approach to AI-ready datacenter infrastructure is designed around the need for organisations to deploy high-performance compute quickly and at scale.

That focus on speed is particularly important in the current market.

As AI infrastructure demand continues to grow, organisations are under increasing pressure to move quickly, whether that means securing GPUs, acquiring suitable land and power, deploying datacenter capacity or building the teams required to operate it.

ECOBLOX’s approach to infrastructure, combined with Hamilton Barnes’ connections across land developers, GPUaaS providers and the wider industry, creates an interesting opportunity to help organisations move through these challenges more efficiently.

Looking ahead

The commercial agreement has now been finalised, with both businesses beginning to work together over the coming month.

The initial focus will be on opportunities across Europe, North America, APAC and the Middle East, with the shared ambition of supporting the continued growth of AI infrastructure globally.

For Hamilton Barnes, this partnership represents another step in our evolution as we continue to build our position within the global AI infrastructure market.

We’re looking forward to working alongside the ECOBLOX team and seeing what we can build together.
